Medium Ytong - Type A
With dimensions of 106 x 121 x 28 mm (l x w x h), this nest features 7 straight-shaped chambers, offering a snug yet spacious environment for your ant colony to call home. Constructed from Ytong block, renowned for its moisture retention capabilities, simply add water through 'the chimney' located conveniently on the side of the formicarium to maintain optimal humidity levels.
Rest easy knowing your ants are secure within the nest, thanks to the escape-proof mesh seamlessly integrated into the frame. The clearview acrylic lid, affixed securely with screws (removable if necessary, though we advise against removing all screws), provides a clear view of your bustling ant colony while ensuring their safety and containment.
For easy access and connection, we've included both 10 mm and 15 mm access ports, allowing seamless integration with various ant species and colony sizes. Plus, with the ability to use the nest vertically or horizontally by simply rotating the chimney (pliers may be required depending on chamber depth), you have the flexibility to adapt to your ants' needs.
