Introducing the captivating Formica sanguinea, a striking red-brown wood ant species that truly stands out! What makes them even more fascinating is their unique parasitic nature, which gives them a boost during their crucial founding stage.

As of September 2023, our colonies are specially enhanced with Formica sanguinea workers, which means they already have a working team in place. These dedicated workers are essential to the success of the colony.

After a period of cold hibernation, the queens will commence their egg production journey. Maintaining the optimal environment is paramount to ensure the effectiveness of this species.

For the best results, it's essential to provide them with a cool habitat during the winter, ideally maintained at a temperature range of 3-6 degrees Celsius. By creating the perfect environment for Formica sanguinea, you can witness their incredible journey and unique characteristics firsthand.
